It's all gone quiet

And for me this is because a) I have been very busy and b) I have been eating like a pig. And drinking. I've had two weekends in a row with my parents and that means lots of food and booze and I also seem to have a bread monster living inside of me that just wants more and more bread, crumpets, toast, muffins, biscuits. Also, the crisp monster has become it's friend. I feel dangerously deprived of vitamins and need to eat some veg.

Am having winter vegetable soup for tea, which should be a good start.

I haven't managed to go to the gym yet this week either as I have been either on a train or in meetings. Bah.

Must do better.

If I eat any more, I'll burst

Toast and butter
Bacon and sausage baguette
Chicken korma, rice and veg
Pear
Apple
Satsuma
Leek and potato soup
Foaccia

So that's at least one extra meal. And no exercise.

And I had cake for breakfast this morning.

Need to do something drastic.

Started well...

Toast with banana and honey
Jacket potato with mixed salad
2 satsumas
Quorn bolognaise

Then it all went wrong...
Apple strudel
Large glass of wine

And I didn't manage any exercise either. Oh dear.

Only five weeks until Christmas and I'm no closer to shifting those 6 lbs. Gah!

I'm Revitamining

Well, I'm trying anyway. The thing is, I'm always home alone on Mondays and can't be bothered to cook for just me, so I end up eating freezer-type food.

Porridge with dried apricots, almonds, pumpkin seeds and maple syrup
Satsuma
Smoky tofu, bean and red pepper casserole
Apple
Mushroom burger, potato wedges, peas

And I did a Legs, Bums and Tums class too.

Must pack in lots and lots of fruit and veg today.

Visitors

I had visitors this weekend. So I ate

Fri night
Mussels with baguette
Carrot cake
Chocolate cake
Wine, beer

Sat
Toast and butter
Thai fishcakes and chips
Curry (full on)
Beer (lots)

Sun
Toast and butter
Picnic (sandwiches, wine, onion bhajees, sausage roll, olives, pear)
Rabbit chasseur with celeriac mash and chard
Strawberry mascarpone tart
Wine and Beer

So, tons of calories and not many vitamins were consumed. EEk.

Oh dear

Hideous amounts of calories were consumed this weekend. Here's a summary!

Saturday
Toast with peanut butter and jam
Pesto, mozarella and tomato panini with fries
2 glasses red wine
A third of: choc fudge cake with ice cream AND choc chip cheesecake
Veg pizza

Sunday
Toast and marmite
Orange juice
Sausage, mash, peas
2 choc muffins
Chinese takeaway

Oh dear. However, I did lots of walking, six hours of hardcore cleaning and went to the gym and swimming.

This week my aim is to get some vitamins inside me before I get scurvy.

I eat animals

M and I went to Asda last night and we found a box of those chocolate biscuits shaped like animals. M wanted to see if Pancake, Nelly and Russell would turn cannibal and eat their own biscuits (orang utan, elephant and rhino) and they did! M and I ate the rest, which is approx 1000 cals each, on top of a normal days food.

Ow. And I took a leaf out of Sez'z book and had 2 lunches.

Porridge with nuts, seeds, dried fruit and soya milk
Apple
Carrot and orange soup with focaccia roll
Emmenthal and guacamole sandwich
2 pieces bread and mushroom pate
3 large prawns dipped in mayo
smoked salmon pate with a large chunck of baguetter with salad

So about 8 billion calories. Pah. Did go to Legs, Bums, Tums though.

I can't swear if this is all of it

Went to the gym early in the morning. Was very weak and pathetic and couldn't manage much.

Ate:
leftover kedgeree for breakfast (not a small portion)
A pear
Roast veg panini with potato wedges and peas and mixed veg for lunch
An apple
A pckt of pretzels
A massive bowl of carrot and orange soup with 2 massive focaccia rolls which were normous and greasy and about 800 cals each I reckon.

Still not doing v well.

Pancake attack

I came home from work on Tuesday, and my mother had been round and left some Toffee Apple Pancakes from M&S in my fridge.

So I ate them - but it wasn't my fault!

She'd left a pizza too - but I left that for Dave for his lunch, saving oodles of calories for myself and making him very happy indeed!

The rest of the day was OK-ish. Sort of.

Porridge with all the bits
Veg and tofu curry with Udon noodles
Orange
Quorn and veg enchiladas with guacamole and tortilla chips
The evil pancakes

Went to the gym and did 40 minutes on the cross trainer too.

Thai veg and tofu curry with brown rice

Tuesday
More porridge with all the trimmings
Thai veg and tofu curry with brown rice
2 veggie sausage, mash, peas, broccolli
Fresh orange juice

Exercise so far this week has been lots of walking and a legs, bums and tums class too.

I had a day off sick yesterday

as I woke up with minging conjunctivitis on Sunday. Grrr. I felt like rubbish and could only lie in a darkened room all day. I hate myself cos I ate a whole packet of almond cakes (and they had 2 extra free) and half a box of chocolate fingers. I felt really sick, but couldn't stop. As well as normal food (well, toast with things on). I don't think I had any vitamins until the evening when I had spinach and tofu stir fry.

I didn't have a great weekend either, food wise. Bah. I reckon that kilo has gone back on again. Will try to go to the gym tonight, but having a pants day so far, so don't know if I'll make it.

I'll talk to myself then

The highlight of yesterday was that I found a nice skirt in Primark for £4. Bargain.

Toast and butter
A chocolate dracula
Rice, roast veg tempura with carrots and peas
Apple
Chicken stir fry with noodles
Very large piece of banana bread to finish it off.

Going to have a lovely weekend and be lovely and healthy and have a facial. And then go out and eat shedloads at an Indonesian restaurant.

Gym crisis

I was doing really well yesterday and toddled off to the gym at around 4.30. I got there and found that I didn't have a towel. And I had my Researching Literature class immediately afterwards. So I went to the gym and tried not to get sweaty. I did 10 minutes on the bike and then 10 minutes on the hand bike as there is no way I can run or go on the x trainer without getting minging. I then did lots of weights and sit ups. So I don't really feel that that exercise session counted.

And food was appalling.

Porridge with nuts, seeds, yog, dried fruit and soya milk
Apple
Cheese and leek pancakes with broccoli, new potatoes and peas
Chocolate flapjack
Chocolate dracula (given to me in class)
Crisps (starving after gym)
Can of diet lilt
Salmon, sauteed potatoes, spinach, grilled tomato
2 pieces of banana bread.

So that's 3 cakes and a piece of chocolate then. Bugger.

It's quiet on here

Hello? Hello? Is there anybody there?

Toast and butter
Piece of banana bread
Left over goatherds pie (like shepherds pie, but with goat instead of lamb)
Banana
Apple
Sausage and veg with pasta
Can of Stella

No gym.

Right, time to start again

Hello all,

After a dreadful weekend with not a vitamin in sight, I think it's time to start again.

I've managed to go to the gym or a class 3 times a week for the past 3 weeks and it has made a difference in that I'm not a total tub of lard. I am not getting any bigger, which is suprising given the amount that I've eaten.

The weekend's evening meals were: chinese on Friday, curry on Saturday and bangers and mash on Saturday. I think the only vegetables I had all weekend were the lettuce with my onion bhajee and the peas with my bangers and mash. And yesterday I had manky leftover buffet meal. Tons of it.

So, this week's aims are to:
go to the gym or class at least 3 times
To eat at least 5 portions of fruit and veg daily
To get back on the green tea (and give up that nice lapsang souchong habit)
Not to eat 5 loaves of bread at once
Not to get drunk between now and Christmas (have the odd glass of wine, but not get steaming)
