In a serious effort

to lose weight this week, rather than put it on, or remain the same, I am going to adopt the following plan. I would be grateful if you could let me know your thoughts on it and if it will have the required effect (just realised that this sounds like one of my work emails).

On Friday I am taking the day off (hurrah) and I will do a kind of detox day where I will only eat fruit, vegetables, soya and quinoa. I will drink no alcohol and will do my 2 hour yoga video. On Saturday I will go for a 5K run outside and will eat healthily all day. And on Sunday I have to go a food fair. Bugger. Sunday might throw a spanner in the works, but apart from that I think it is a good plan.

Did people watch 'You are what you eat' last night? Doesn't it make ONE feel so worthy?

Anyway.
Strawb and rasp smoothie
Piece toast with butter
Green tea x4
Plum
Cherries
Chickpea dhal and salad
Apple
Yoghurt
Seafood and veg stir fry with black rice (never had before - would recommend)
Half a bread roll (Martin made me)
Slice malt loaf and butter

OK, the 2 last items weren't strictly necessary, but apart from that not a bad day.

    I think it's a great plan. The detox day will help you to feel all clean and healthy, then you won't want to eat lots of bad stuff.

    There are restaurant tents and wine tastings and we are going as a family outing (MIL and godmother in law), so will need much fortifying booze and food. Will try and eat a healthy meal and only taste bad stuff.
